Forgiveness Quotes

Forgiveness is the release or end of anger, resentment or feelings of unfair treatment after a mistake, offense and or disagreement. Forgiveness is needed to restore relationships and friendships. Forgiveness can be seen as a gift to ourselves and, it is highly recommended in religious context like the bible.

Feelings of anger, pain, and resentment only hurt ourselves. By forgiving someone, we are releasing unhealthy emotions, which brings clarity back to the mind. Of course, forgiving someone doesn't mean we should forget the hurt and pain. To forgive someone means to remove negativityto let go of emotional baggage.

Forgiveness is a process, and it takes time. We should not just immediately forgive someone. Instead, we should take our time to ensure that our partner, friend or family would not repeat those same mistakes again to hurt us. Then we should make it known how we feel by using statements such as (I feel betrayed, hurt etc)  and set new boundaries.

Everyone makes mistakes at some point in their lives. It is important to learn how to forgive and leave situations and events in the past.  Forgiveness strengthens and renewed relationships and friendships. It also brings healing and peace and allows us to find joy in present-moment.
