True friends are those who came into your life, saw the most negative part of you, but are not ready to leave you, no matter how contagious you are to them.
-Michael Bassey Johnson
This quote by Michael Bassey Johnson illustrates “true friendship.” True friends are people who accept you for who you are. Regardless of your situation, emotions, and personality traits. They don’t walk out of your life when you are going through a difficult time, they stay and give their awareness and full attention. True friends are there to support you, not only during times of success but adversity. As Michael Bassey says,” no matter how contagious you are to them.” With sincere friendship, forgiveness comes easily. We all make mistakes from time to time, and a genuine friend will understand and overlook that. True friends make us want to be better people. They don’t try to get us in trouble, create drama or encourage gossiping. True friendship is one of life’s greatest gift, just having someone there to listen and have your back when life gets rough brings positive feelings and emotions. For some, true friends are very difficult to find, but with technology, it is easy to connect with others with the same needs.
